David M. Dubusky, DVM
In January 2014, Dr. David M. Dubusky took ownership of Hillside Veterinary Clinic. Previously, Dr. Dubusky had been an associate veterinarian at Hillside since April 2005.
Dr. Dubusky spent the early years of his childhood in Monongahela, Pennsylvania. His family moved to Lexington, Ohio in 1988. Dr. Dubusky is a 1995 graduate of Lexington (OH) High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Mount Vernon Nazarene University in 1999. While attending MVNU, Dr. Dubusky completed a preceptorship at Hillside with Dr. Gregg. In June of 2004, Dr. Dubusky received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After a year in Galion, Ohio, he returned to Mt. Vernon and joined Dr. Gregg at Hillside on April 2, 2005. Specific areas of interest include small animal internal medicine, dermatology, and parasitology.
Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Dubusky enjoys hiking, kayaking, boating, lifting, martial arts, golfing, and family excursions. He is an avid fan of both collegiate and professional sports and has followed the Pittsburgh Pirates to 29 (and counting) major league ballparks.
Dr. Dubusky currently resides in Mount Vernon with his wife Amy. They have two children. Amy is also a MVNU graduate (2000). After spending close to a decade as a classroom teacher, Amy returned to work at MVNU. She has served there in many capacities, most currently as a member of the teaching faculty and the Teacher Education Program Director. The family pets include a clowder of cats (Marte, Meeko, Milo, Mojo, and Maisey), two Beagle-JRTs (Bruce and Bella) and a Terrier-Boxer (Kipper). The Dubusky's also have two clinic cats (Jaso and Cocoa).
